.How to Connect TikTok Conversion API to LeadForm


Integrating the TikTok Conversion API (CAPI) allows you to send server-side conversion events from LeadForm directly to TikTok. This ensures more reliable tracking, even if users block cookies or use ad blockers.


Step 1: Open the TikTok Conversion API Integration


In your LeadForm app:

Go to Integrations → TikTok Conversion API (CAPI)

This is where you’ll connect your TikTok Business Account and enable server-side event tracking.


Step 2: Connect Your TikTok CAPI


  1. In the TikTok Conversion API (CAPI) tab, click Add new TikTok.
  2. Enter your Access Token from TikTok Events Manager.
  3. Choose the buttons or forms you want to track:
    • Send Order Button → e.g., Place An Order
    • Pop-Up Button → e.g., Add To Cart
  1. Save your settings to connect TikTok CAPI to LeadForm.
⚠️ Important: To avoid duplicate events, configure your TikTok Conversion API only in LeadForm, not in Shopify or any other apps.


Step 3: Add Your Access Token


To authorize server-side events:

  1. Go to your TikTok Events Manager → Settings → API Key / Access Token
  2. Copy the Access Token.
  3. Paste it into LeadForm → Integrations → TikTok CAPI → Access Token.
  4. Save your settings.


💡 This token allows LeadForm to send events securely from your server.


Step 4: Verify Server-Side Events


After setup:

  1. Go to TikTok Events Manager → Test Events.
  2. Submit a test form or order on your site.
  3. Confirm the server-side events are received (look for Lead, Purchase, etc.).
💡 Server-side events may appear slightly delayed compared to pixel events.


Step 5: How to Generate a TikTok Access Token


If you don’t have an access token:

  1. Open TikTok Ads Manager → Events → Web Events → API.
  2. Click Generate Access Token.
  3. Copy it into LeadForm as described in Step 3.
