HOW TO INSTALL META PIXEL API

How to Set Up the Meta Conversion API (CAPI) with LeadForm

The Meta Conversion API (CAPI) allows you to send conversion events directly from your server to Meta (Facebook).

By combining it with your Meta Pixel, you can improve event accuracy and ensure better ad tracking — even when browser tracking is limited.

Step 1: Open the Conversion API Integration

In your LeadForm app:

Go to Integrations → Conversion API (CAPI)

This section lets you securely connect your Meta Business Manager account to LeadForm.

Step 2: Connect Your Meta Account

  1. Click Connect Meta Account.
  2. Log in using your Facebook Business Manager credentials.
  3. Choose the Business, Ad Account, and Pixel you want to connect.
  4. Authorize the connection.
✅ Once connected, LeadForm will automatically send your conversion events (like Purchase, Lead, or Add to Cart) directly to Meta via the API.

Step 3: Match Events with Your Pixel

Make sure the same Pixel ID is connected in both:

  • LeadForm → Integrations → Pixel, and
  • LeadForm → Integrations → Conversion API

This ensures that browser and server events are matched correctly and not duplicated.

Step 4: Test the Connection

Use the Test Events Tool in your Meta Events Manager to confirm that events are being received:

  1. Open your connected Pixel in Events Manager.
  2. Go to the Test Events tab.
  3. Submit a test order or form on your store.
  4. Verify that the event appears as Received via Server (CAPI) and/or Browser (Pixel).

💡 Tip

Combining both the Pixel and Conversion API gives you:

  • More accurate reporting
  • Better event matching
  • Improved ad optimization — even when cookies are blocked
